Description: C.I.A girl's basketball team; many of the players are unidentified. C.I.A later became Texas Woman's University. Based upon their uniforms, this appears to be members from the time period of 1917-1918. First row, third from the left: Tennis Florey, who was a guard in 1918. Middle row, fourth from the left: Thelma Crawford, guard in 1918.

Decatur Highway Underpass

Description: Decatur Highway underpass below the Santa Fe Railroad. The road is unpaved and right before the underpass, in the distance, two unidentified men are visible standing on either side of an automobile. The highway still exists and the present-day location of the underpass is now called 11614 Jim Christal Rd., Krum, Texas.

Denton Ariel Club's "Art Day" Program

Description: The program lists the scheduled performances by members of the Denton Ariel Club's, Art Department during Art Day on March 4, 1912. The "Art Day" was held at the home of Mrs. L. H. Schweer and performances include "The Merry Wives of Windsor," "Forget Me Not," "Oh Nightingale," and others. The programs for the afternoon were hand-painted bluebonnets on the cover done in watercolor with gold leaf accents. The program inside was done in gold lettering.

Description: Interior view of the Denton county clerk's office. Four men and five women are pictured sitting at or standing around desks, all are unidentified. On the right-hand wall hangs a World War I Red Cross poster that says, Have You Answered the Red Cross Christmas Roll Call? The poster was illustrated by Harrison Fisher in 1918; the Roll Call took place from Dec. 16th - 23rd.

Description: Exterior view of the City of Denton Fire Department and City Hall on West Oak Street between Cedar and Bolivar Streets. This was the fourth fire station in Denton and the department moved there in 1890. There are a number of unidentified men standing in front of fire station along with a horse-drawn hook and ladder wagon and a horse-drawn chemical wagon. The two white horses were Nip and Tuck. The ladder wagon was pulled by black and white horses, George and Henry.

Household Arts Building (1913)

Description: Several women near the steps of the Household Arts Building at Texas State College for Women. The three-story brick building has six columns with Ionian capitals. The Household Arts Building was the second largest instructional building erected on the campus of Texas Woman's University. The Legislature appropriated $75,000 for it, and the building was occupied with the opening of the 1913-14 school year.
