A letter from Hamilton K. Redway at Kelly's Creek in West Virginia to his wife, Loriette Redway, on May 8, 1865. In the letter, Hamilton Redway expresses his concern for his wife's health and asks about her father. Redway says that he is glad to hear that Loriette received the money he sent, and that he may send another two or three hundred dollars to Mr. Baker. He mentions that he has been away from the South for so long, that he would rather live in New York state than in the South.
