announces the approaching marriage
of her daughter Gertrude to Mr Ed-
win Meyer of Ft Worth The wed-
ding will take place Thursday evening
July 15 at eight oclock It will be a
quiet affair only the relatives of the
contracting parties being present The
young couple will leave the same
evening for Fort Worth where they
will make their home
The natatorium at the Heights was
invaded Tuesday afternoon by a jolly
crowd who assembled at the residence
of Mrs A Pye After some time
spent at the sports of the mermaids
Athey again repaired to Mrs Pyes res-
idence where dainty refreshments
1 were served Among those present
were Mesdames A Nachlas B Block
Wolff Hardy Krackower Pye and
Misses Wolff and Rubenstein
Tho picnic on the 4th of July by the
P O W and 0 B A will take place
a scheduled Thy committees in charge
have expended their utmost energies
to make it a success and a success it
will be despite the word of defeated
and disgruntled candidates for office
at recent elections Not alone should
every member of these orders attend
but thoy should dnvite their friends
and acquaintances and thus cooper-
ate with the officers and committees
who are working so diligently for their
interests
