Dedr Mr. Lawrence:
Thanks for passing
along the good words
about Scouting in 1975.
And as we begin
another year, we want to
say how. much your sup-
port in the past year has
meant to the boys and
adult volunteers in our
Scouting program.
Of course, what you did
for us in 1975 was a
repetition of what you and
vour news organization
have been doing for many
years.
Without this coopera
non the news of Scouting
could not be disseminated
over the wide area of our
council - 13 counties over
South Texas.
Through your news
facilities thousands of
boys and their adult lead-
ers^ have got the word
about their work and
participation in such
worthwhile events as our
preparations for Bicenten-
nial. conservation, good
turns for Goodwill Indus-
tries. cleanups along our
streams and communities,
special events and our
annual Scout Country
Fair.
This new year, of
course, will mean more of
the same. In fact, it will be
even more eventful with
our participation in many
Bicentennial events. Well
be in action again and
asking you to continue
passing along the word of
Scouting,
Sincerely.

... is definitely what the new Pizza Hut
management gave many Hondoans Sunday
evening, and Patricia and I were delighted to be
among those honored.
Fine food, terrific atmosphere are two of the
terms used to describe the new eating establish-
ment. •
I am happy to welcome the Pizza Hut to the city
and I feel that it will complement those fine places
we already have.
DON’T DARE FORGET
. . , the fabulous Penny Sale coming up in
Hondo February 5-6-7 under the sponsorship of
the Hondo Retail Merchants Association. I
believe it will offer local and area residents some
fine bargains.
During the meantime, don't you dare miss out
on guessing the number of pennies contained in
the jars located at business places participating in
the Penny Sale. You may be a big winner.
