I toun(l any of the bank bunch I might run into my
own buncos. At least it would not be wasted time and
both the Bockermans and I might benefit.
I announced my intention of going to Clearwater
and trying to see what I could do for them.
They were very grateful. The old lady's tears
had entirely gone behind her sunny smile. They thanked
me and said their prayers would follow me. I was glad
of this as I believe in the power of prayer and had a
feeling that I might need it.
It was still light when I set out for the little town
with a clear name but a cloudy history.
