As I fell asleep I laughed at some of the signs I
had seen in the shop windows on my way to the celery
beds. They read "Beware of Confidence Men!" Well,
I thought there was little danger of encountering any
of them in the shops tonight, as they were all downstairs
in the lobby outlining tomorrow's campaign for the
"sucker" upstairs.
