CENTRAL TEXAS CONFERENCE JOURNAL.
Jerome Duncan read the scale for assessments on the districts as revised
by the presiding elders and it was adopted.
The Secretary read a response received from Hon. Jno. W. Robbins to
the expression of sympathy tendered him by the Conference.
Jerome Duncan read the nominations of the presiding elders for the
faculty of the Summer School of Theology at Southwestern University and
they were elected.

A. B. C. Debnam, for unacceptability.
On motion of W. L. Nelms it was ordered that a memorial session be held
Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
The Chair appointed E. F. Boone to preside at that session.
Two collections were taken during the morning, one for I. F. Harris,
amounting to $116.50; one for H. P. Shrader for $82.00
Question 7 Resumed.-Who are received from other churches as local
preachers?
Wm. H. Smith, from the Baptist church, having complied with all dis-
ciplinary requirements, was recognized as an elder.
Resolution by C. E. Brown, asking the Conference to assess an amount
for Superannuate Endowment Fund equal to one per cent of the amount
paid for ministerial support, was adopted.
On motion of M. K. Little the action by which W. R. Witherspoon was
admitted on trial was reconsidered and his application withdrawn.
Question 4.-Who are admitted into full connection?
The following were called to the bar of the Conference and having an-
swered satisfactorily all disciplinary questions, were unanimously admitted
into full connection, to-wit: John F. Adams, Henry F. Brooks, M. L. Latham,
Alonzo Monk, Jr., Henry Stamford, Eustace P. Swindall, Chas. E. V ilkins,
Henry C. Bowman, B. E. Kimbro, Earnest Lloyd, Henry L. Vincent.
J. W. Patison read report of Committee on Conference Relations and it
was adopted, answering-
Question 19.-Who are supernumerary?
Question 20.-Who are superannuated?

Atticus Webb read report of Committee on Books and Periodicals and it
was adopted.
S. W. Turner read report on State of the Church and it was adopted.
J. M. Robertson read reports Nos. 1 and 2 of Joint Board of Finance and
they were adopted, subject to change in scale of assessments.
Committee on Public Worship announced the Missionary Anniversary at
7:30 p. m., to be addressed by Jno. R. Nelson and Dr. Jno. M. Moore. Also
announcement for preaching on Sunday in the various pulpits of the city.
Hour for adjournment having arrived, the Doxology was sung ar d the
benediction was pronounced by M. K. Little.
AFTERNOON SESSION.
Conference met pursuant to adjournment at 3 o'clock p. m.
H. A. Boaz occupied the chair by appointment of Bishop Atkins.
Opening prayed led by J. P. Mussett.21
