A. In this course the fall term studies are in the Old Testament.
Preliminary study is followed by consideration of the Old Testament
conception of God, the divine Name, divine attributes, Man sin, and
redemption. The place of the priesthood, the problem of good and
evil, eschatology, Messianic ideas, immortality, and the meaning of
death are studied. Davidson's text is the basis.

B. This is a topical study in the New Testament parallel to the
Old Testament course above. Such subjects as The Gospel and the
Law, The Kingdom of God, The Person of Christ, Good and Evil Spirits,
Nature of Man and Sin, The Church, and The Parousia and the Judgment
are studied from the first three Gospels. Then follows in the
fourth Gospel consideration of such subjects as Jesus' Testimony Concerning
Himself, The Holy Spirit, and Eternal Life. These subjects
are followed by a study of Paul's teaching on Adam and the Race,
Divine Purpose, Justification, etc. A few subjects are taken from
the Hebrew letter, as, The Old and the New Covenant, Faith and
Hope. Closing subjects are in John's Apocalypse.

C. Sermons in Acts and subjects in the early epistles are studied.
Timely and profitable subjects commonly controverted are studied
during this term. Common subjects for debates are touched definitely
from both or several views. The class will select with the
teacher the things to be studied and discussed. Closing the year of
study in the doctrines of the several ages represented in the Bible, this
term will be very helpful. Several reference works will be used from
the libraries, as the occasion demands. Individual reading may be
done on approved subjects in the strongest books of debate. Pioneers
of undenominational Christianity will find great satisfaction in
this special doctrinal study in primitive Christian teaching.
