CLASSICAL COURSE. An outline is here given of our full course
including two years in each of the languages. It may be taken in
three years if all the time is devoted to it. By doing thirty-six
semester-hours of the course as credits on the College degree and by
taking some of the Bible work as College Bible, some students will
boj f _finish this course in two years following the completion of
tie: CSre work for the B. A. degree.
It is insisted that those finishing this course shall have a College
degree. In the case of mature students with some experience and
success, the diploma will be given to them as special students, but they
must make an average grade of B or more, as is required of other
students finishing this course.
This course is the equivalent of the three-year degree (Bachelor
of Divinity, B. D.) given in most schools of Theology. It will be
noticed that this course includes one hundred fifty term-hours, a
little more than is usually required. We cannot lower the number of
hours, lower the number of subjects, or lighten the work. Our students
must be satisfied in getting more from their work.
For graduates from this course a thesis of about five thousand
words must be written. The subject must be approved by the instructor
in whose field the thesis is written not later than March 15th of
the Senior year. The final copy must be in the hands of the instructor
by May 15th. A typewritten copy must be left in the library.
