22 ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
Chapel Exercises.-Once each day the students are assembled
in the auditorium for chapel services. The program
consists of a song, a selection read from the Bible, prayer,
and a talk. The talks are usually the high lights of the best
sermons.
Bible School.-A Bible school of about three hundred
members meets in the different class-rooms of the administration
building on Sunday morning and the class work is conducted
by efficient teachers.
Church Services.-Abilene is a city of churches. Students
are required to attend church Sunday morning and night.
Regular services are held in the college auditorium Sunday
morning and night.
Revival Meetings.-Each session two meetings are held.
Many students obey the gospel during these meetings.
The Young Mez's Meeting.-Each Monday night is turned
over to the young men to conduct the services. The general
order of the meeting is songs, Scripture reading, prayer, talks.
Three or four young men do the talking. The program is
varied. A great number of men have an opportunity to speak
in public.
The Mission Study.-Mission classes are conducted by various
instructors. The purpose of this study is to acquaint
students with the mission fields and to stimulate interest in
missionary work.
Prayer Meeting.-Each Wednesday evening a prayer and
praise service is conducted in the college auditorium.
Lecture Week.-The last of February each year is devoted
to lectures on Bible themes, delivered by outstanding thinkers
and leaders. The lectures are published in book form.
PUBLICATIONS.
ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE BULLETIN.
This is a college publication by the faculty of Abilene
Christian College issued twelve times a year. One of the
issues is the catalogue number. The other numbers contain
announcements that are of interest to patrons.
