THE AWARDING OF LETTERS.
All letters and bars will be awarded by the college. All
recommendations for letters and bars must pass through the athletic
committee. The committee reserves the right to withhold
a letter or a bar from any student for any reason which it may
consider proper. Letters and bars will be awarded at commencement.
No student will be awarded a letter in any form of athletics
who does not remain in school during the entire session.
Expensfie
Abilene Christian College does not claim to be the cheapest
school. Good equipment; excellent teachers of character, training,
experience and native ability; modern, comfortable homes
for students cannot be provided cheaply.
Comparison of the rates listed below with those of the various
denominational colleges of the land will show that expenses here
are much less than in many of the institutions of similar rank
and position.
This is true in spite of the fact that Abilene Christian College
does not have an endowment fund. Rates will be made still
lower just to the degree that conditions make it possible. The
institution is not operated as a commercial organization. The
management does not seek to realize any financial dividends whatsoever.
But it is necessary to make the institution as far as
possible pay its own operating expenses.
