PURPOSE AND WORK
Bible Study is an opportunity all should have. Abilene
Christian College is maintained as an institution of learning to
foster the education of its students in a manner acceptable to our
Father. We feel that everyone's education should be obtained
under Christian influence and that no one is properly trained who
does not study God's word.
Our Father has blest us with an excellent attendance in residence.
We wish to reach others who are not with us. It is good
to be here, but many who are far away have already
availed themselves of our correspondence courses. It is our
privilege in the name of Christ and as members of his Church to
offer certain courses by correspondence. This co-operation in
Bible study is open to all. The courses may be taken with college
credit or without it. Any course when completed will be
given full credit by Abilene Christian College provided the student
has met the requirements for entrance as shown in the general
bulletin. This credit can be used on a state teacher's certificate
or toward a B. A. degree.
No charge is made for these Bible courses. The opportunity
is now offered for the glory of God and the service of men and
women.
DEVELOPMENT.
God has blest this work. There are now over a hundred
students enrolled other than those in residence who have done
work during any part of the present school year. These students
are from ten states and Canada. These courses render a particular
service to those who cannot conveniently attend college at
this time. Neither distance from Abilene nor lack of finance
need debar any one from working with us in the study of God's
Word.
METHOD OF WORK.
Courses of two kinds are given:
1. College credit courses, for which credit toward graduation
is given. These are given on the same terms and83
