113.-History of Modern Europe from 1500-1815. This
course deals with the important political, economic, and social
achievements of this period. Fall quarter.
123.-Modern Europe from 1815-1924. This is a continuation
of Hist. 113. This course treats of the Congress of Vienna
the industrial revolution, the development of German and Italian
unities, the intellectual achievements of the nineteenth century,
modern social problems, imperialism in Africa and in the Orient,
and the World War.
135.-The British Empire. This course is a study of Englist
explorations and colonies, relations with France and America,
industrial revolution, political and social reforms, the new imperialism,
the self-governing colonies, and the World War.

143.-American History. This course is a study of the Indian
civilization and the development of our country from the
founding of the American colonies to 1860. Text: Bassett's, A

after the War. Special emphasis is placed on the political,
industrial, and social achievements of our country up to the present

Convention; the convention itself; and the testing on the Constitution.

232.-History of Greece. A general survey of Greek history,
tracing the political and intellectual development of the people.
242.-Roman History. In this course special emphasis is
placed upon the period of the later republic and the early empire.
