ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
whose hundred's digit is 3, are advanced and open to juniors and
seniors.
All courses whose unit's digit is 3, meet on Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday; those whose unit's digit is 2, meet on Wednesday
and Friday; those whose unit's digit is 5 meet five days in
the week.
There will be some variations in the different courses; but as
a rule, three or more majors will be required in a subject before
an advanced course may be taken.
GRADES.
The standing of the student is expressed in terms of grades.
The grades are made up from class work, papers, quizzes, and
examinations. The letters A-Plus, A, A-minus, B-plus, B, Bminus,
C-plus, C, C-minus, D-plus, D, E, and F, will be used.
The grade E is condition and the grade F is failure. Any
courses taken in which a grade of F is made must be taken over.
All incomplete courses will be regarded as E until they are completed
which must be done within a year of the time they are
begun.
An average of B on junior and senior work is required for
graduation.
AMOUNT OF WORK WHICH MAY BE TAKEN.
1. For first term a student is in Abilene Christian College,
he will be permitted to take only sixteen or seventeen hours. It
is understood that previous record will be considered and if
the previous record will justify eighteen hours may be taken.
2. As much as eighteen or nineteen hours may be taken in
the second term or any term following a term in which sixteen
or seventeen hours were taken, on condition that the work of the
previous term averaged B-plus and that no grade was below C.
3. As much as twenty hours may be taken provided the
student took eighteen or nineteen hours the previous term and
provided further that no grade was below B-plus and that an
average of A- was made on the eighteen or nineteen hours. Under
no circumstances will a student be permitted to carry more than
twenty hours in any term.
