CAN I GO TO COLLEGE?
That depends too upon how badly you want to go. In this
day of schools almost anyone, if not anyone, may get a college
education. More than half of the college trained men and women
had as little or less means than you. When you say, "I'd
go to school if I were able," you just excuse yourself for not
doing what you know you should do. If you really want to go
to school, you can.
PLAYGROUNDS
For the relief of the monotony and stress of mental work
an adequate amount of wholesome recreation is provided for the
students. A modern gymnasium is at the disposal of students.
The boys and young men will have ,access to Wildcat Park, one
of the best baseball parks in the state. The splendid tennis courts
will be open to all the students of the institution.
THE RELIGIOUS SPIRIT
Abilene Christian College is pre-eminently religious. Students
here will be under the refining and elevating moral influence
of Christianity at all times. Chapel services will be held
regularly. On Sunday, Bible classes, Lord's day worship and
gospel services will be conducted in the college auditorium.
Abilene is a city of churches, which are always open to our students.
Students will be expected to attend church services on
Sunday.
EXPENSES
Living expenses in Abilene are moderate. We make no effort
to be the cheapest school. But we do seek to keep the expenses
as low as possible to furnish the high-grade service that
we render; we give the student the full value of what he spends
here. The following table gives the necessary school expenses:
Matriculation fee .--..-.--....-.... ---- - .......$ 5.00
