PRACTICE SCHOOL
This school is the laboratory of the Education Department. The
leading purpose is to afford an opportunity for observation and practice
teaching in the schoolroom. It is here that theory and practice
meet, and consequently the work of the practice school should test the
ability of the student teacher to do successful work in the public
schools of Texas. As far as possible the aim is to make the school
fulfill a double function in being both a model and a training school. An
attempt is made to keep abreast of the times in all that pertains to
