outline, the books being divided into Parts, Sections, and Paragraphs,
accompanied by Queries calling forth the principal thoughts.

the Pentateuch. We consider this a most valuable and helpful
course. It gives The Historical View of the enactments; The FundaMental
Law; The Religious Code; The Civil Code. I
133.-Historical outline of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth.
\"JV.t -Outline Course. The first quarter is spent in the Old Testainen.
With Smith's or some similar outlines of the great periods and
characters there is required the reading of a manual of Old Testament
studies (Sampey's or similar work). A few prominent features/
/ and facts of each period are investigated from first hand study of
--he text itself. The aim is to make such a systematic study as will B
enable the student to master Old Testament history. Details will fall
easily in relation to more outstanding events and dates. The eternal
lessons of the Old Testament are gleaned; such as divine attributes,
Messianic preparation, moral law, and emotional elements of spiritual
service in prayer and praise.

order and studied in connection with the events calling forth the
prophecies contained therein. Obadiah, Joel, Jonah, Amos, Hosea,
Isaiah, Micah, Nahum, Jeremiah (in the beginning of his ministry),
Zephaniah, Habakkuk.
