overdue for such a work. We have so
many famous statues that depict our heritage.
Many world famous artists such as
Frank Teich and Pompeo Coppini have
honored our heroes and preserved our
past through works of art in stone and
bronze. Our entertainers, animals, and
farm produce are also the subject of many
delightful sculptures. If you know of any
individual who might be interested in suggesting
additions for this project, I would
appreciate your advice.
Thank you for your time in considering
this request:
Sincerely,
Carol Little
Did you know that the world's oldest surviving
photograph is in Texas? Do you
know where you might look for photographs
of your ancestors or pictures of
historical structures? The Historic Photography
Project of the Texas Historical
Foundation is preparing a Union Guide
to Photographic Collections in Texas, a
book that will list and describe most of the
photography collections in the state. The
Guide project has been made possible by
a generous grant of $32,825 from the
Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C.
Kleberg Foundation of San Antonio.
Watch for more information about how
you can participate in this Foundation
project to make the Guide a model for all
other states!
