HISTORICAL,
FOUNDATION
PRESERVATION THROUGH PLANNED GIVINGHistorical preservation programs
in Texas benefit greatly from the
generosity of individuals, estates,
and businesses. Most of the contributions
to the Texas Historical
Foundation are made in the form of
cash or other outright gifts. Some of
the most generous contributions have
been what are known as planned
gifts; bequests, charitable trusts,
gifts of life insurance, gifts of personal
property, residences, farms, or
ranches, and other gifts of materialvalue. Through planned giving, an individual
can provide the Foundation
with the resources it needs for the
preservation of historical buildings,
archeological sites, and artifacts, as
well as the enhancement of Texas
heritage through publications.
The Texas Historical Foundation's
development effort was established
to attract the needed private financial
support to preserve historicalstructures, sites, and other expressions
of Texas heritage. Preservation
of our State's heritage is the responsibility
of all Texans. To accomplish
the goals of preservation statewide,
money is needed and it is up to the
private sector to provide this financial
support.
Our heritage defines our contemporary
culture, which in turn is shaping
our future. If we are to have the structural
and material culture of ourpast for future generations to appreciate,
it is time to contribute to that
legacy. Please give today.
