"Coack"
Coach needs no introduction to the students of Abilene Christian
College. By his excellent work on the athletic field he has endeared
himself to all the boys who take part in athletics. Coach
was always on his job in basket ball, and scarcely ever missed an
evening's practice. He is an excellent base ball player and has
wonderful ability in judging his players.
"BASKET BALL."
-HOLLIS MANLY
"Manager"
"Old Lady" was a "star" in every sense of the word; at guard he
could not be. beaten. He moved over the court with lightening
speed. His quick sure passes caused all his opponents to dread
him. He was noted for his "hard work" all through the game, and
he never failed to get the ball when things were exciting. He will
be a strong man on the team next year.
HUGH CRAIG
"Captain"
"Cap" won the confidence of all A. C. C., students by his fast
goal throwing. He was fast, and his guard had trouble finding
him. In tight places he always advanced the ball toward the goal.
We are counting much on him for next year.
CECIL PATERSON
"Daddy" came to us from West Texas. He was a good man at
guard and equally as good at forward. He was an active hard
working man..' He usually got into the game with his "head work"
and broke up the team work of his opponents. He always had the
"pep" and will make someone work hard next year.
ED VHITEMORE
"Whitt" made us a good forward. He is a big man and usually
made things go his way. His quick passes were his best traits.
At goal throwing he was good. All A. C. C., studens had hopes when
"Whitt had the ball. Watch him next year.
VERNON McCASLAND
"Mac" was a stout, robust country lad, and he knows how to play
center. He did not find many men that could out jump him
and he scarcely ever lost the ball. Long goal throws was his hobby.
It will be hard to beat "Mac" out of his place next season.
NALL CHILDERS
"Bigun" came to us from the sheep ranches around Hope,
New Mexico. This big 190 pound man usually made things go his
way. His hard passes were always right to the mark. All A. C'. C.,
students will be glad to see "Tamales" on the team next year.
REBA WALLACE
"Johnie" was a fast man. He was so good at throwing goal, the
ball just seemed to hunt the goal when Johnie threw it.BASE BALL
HOLLIS MANLY
Center Fielder (Manager)
Manly is a good center fielder. He often pulls down the ball
when it seems impossible. Manly is a good hitter and an excellent
base runner. Watch him next year.
EMMIT HARP
Pitcher, (Captain)
"T. Bont" has been recognized by all his opponents as a good
pitcher. This man has the ability to pitch in any of the colleges
of Texas. His opponents dread him. We are expecting him to do
great work for us next year.
TERRY WALLS
Catcher
This is Walls' first year behind the bat,, but he is developing
rapidly into a strong catcher. He will be one of our strongest men
next year.
VERNON McCasland
First Base
"Mc." came out late in the season but is making good first and
it will take a good one to beat him out next season.
STAGNER
Second Base.
"Speedy" the sluefooted boy from West Texas was always on his
job at second, and anxious to know how many had "stacked the
timber."
REBA WALLACE
Third Base
"Johnnie" the "Quaker" seldom ever stars, but when he does the
bases are full."Old Chick"

the little magic wonder from Roswell bears the

A. C. C.Left Field
The noiseless Hall is a ball player; he is a good hitter.
