S THE SEASON of departure approaches, I bid the class of 1935 adieu. Your college years have
been difficult ones, but let us hope that you have learned to get along with less material means
than some of your predecessors and will not be afraid of the "big bad wolf" of depression. You have
been as loyal to the ideals of your alma mater and just as enthusiastic as those student groups who
have gone before you.
These years have been significant. Your school has been given a new name and greater security.
I hope your college days have been profitable and I believe you will continue to find life interesting
because you have learned a few things about how to live and how to serve.
AS YOU LEAVE the University, whether it be this year or later, and get out into the
world of affairs, you will as the years pass, value more and more your associates
and your Alma Mater.
What you will amount to is determined largely by the associates you have chosen
and the teachers with whom you have come in contact.
Our hope is that our contribution to you as your instructors has been helpful.
