unusual pets
Leonard Winkcompleck and son-
in-law, Bobby Huitton, while haul-
M« „ tag in bundles from the field last
Friday and Saturday, found five,
rattlers in the two days. What
did they do? What any red-blood-
ed farmer would have done, kill-
ed them. All of which makes haul-
ing bundles very appealing.

CWF meeting
held Wednesday
Christian Women's Fellowship
of the First Christian Church met
in Fellowship Hall Wednesday
morning, April 17, at 10 o'clock.
Those' present were Mines. J. L.
McFarland, Raymond Crowell, A-
mmon Woodward, Jerry Penning-
ton, Phil Campbell and James
Todd.
At the close of the business
. .. , meeting Mrs. Crowell led the de-
votions, "Where Missions Begin,"
reading the scriptures Acts. 1:8,
bringing out the thought that
the mission of the church is like
a pool of water into which thou-
sands of pebbles are dropped.
Concentric circles moves out from
the place where each pebble
bleaks the surface, and the cir-
cles mingle with one another un-
til the whole pool is agitated.
The month of April being Home
Mission Month, Mrs. Todd spoke
on some of the Home Mission In-
stitutions of the Iiisciples of
Christ in the United States, Ja'r-
1 vis College for the negro boys
and girls at Hawkins, Texas, and
the Yokima Mission for the In-
dian Youth at White Swan, Wash-
ington. The meeting closed with
the CWF benediction.
