One of the most important organizations among the boys this year
was the Hi-Y Club. The purpose of the organization was:
"To create, maintain and extend throughout the school and com-
munity high standards of Christian character."
The Slogan: Clean living, clean speech, clean athletics, clean schol-
U arship.
The Dynamic: Contagious, Christian character.
n The Objective: Sacrificial service, Christian manhood, boys' division, 0
Texas Young Men's Associations, 611 Sumpter Building, Dallas, Texas.
"What you would put into the life of a nation put into its schools."
These ideals have been lived up to in a splendid way by the Hi-Y
Club. Once a week a get together luncheon is given at the Wilson Hotel,
in which good fellowship was stressed. The ablest speakers from town
were glad to talk to the boys, and many good talks were made by mem-
bers of the club. At the close of school the Hi-Y Club went on a camp-
ing trip to the Brazos, and had lots of fishing, swimming, eats and fun.
The officers of the club were:
Jam es Eastland ...................... . ...... ................................. President
Lloyd Bouldin ............................................................ V ice-President
Robert Yeager ........................................ ............Secretary and Treasurer
