ALBUQUEDQUE. New Mex-
(UP) — A ranch is going to be
established in New Mexico for
the use of underpriviliged boys
in the state.
The Kiwanis Club of Albu-
querque announces that, with
the assistance of other civic
clubs including the Rotary,
Lions and optimists, a non-prc-
fit organization will be estab-
lished forthat purpose.
At Buck, prcsirlent and sta-
tutory agent of the organization,
says that incorporation papers
under the name*.* New Mexico
Boys' Ranch have been filed.

Lunch Room Every Day
After two weeks of school
there is a total of 90 teachers
and students eating in the Long-
worth school lunch room this
year.
So .far the cost of a plate lunch
is only 10 cents but the r"i -e
not definite yet. Mrs. W. F. Arm
strong, and Mrs. J. E. Bruce are
cooking for the school this year.
Througout the summer par-
ents were very co-operative la
helping can vegetables, donated
by the farmers, to be used this
winter.
BIG 3 TO MEET AGAIN
LONDON (UP^ — The diplo-
matic correspondent of the Lon-
don Daily Telegraph predicts an-
other inter-allied conference is
likely before the end of the
year.
He says the meeting will be
attended by President Roose-
velt, Prime Minister Churchill
and Premier Stalin — or other
high-ranking representatives of
the big three nations.

A birthday party compliment-
ing Gene Madison on his seven-
th birthday was hosted by Mrs.
V. I. Periman Thursday after-
noon at her home on Pine St.

ry Sherrill, Billy Gilbreth, David
Glass, Jimmy Don and Sandra

les and Carolyn Galloway, Eulus
Parker and Doris Ann Turner.

LUBBOCK —(UP) — "Sun-
day's scheduled game between
South Plains Army Air Field and
Amarillo Army Air Field in
Lubbock has been cancelled.
South Plains offiicals say that
air crew trainnees are ineligible
for the team.
The South Plains eleven will
play out the remainder of its
schedule, however, since thero
are enough men in the base to
form a squad. But they are not
in shape for a game this week
end.
GM Scouts
Make Progress
Members of the LongwOrth
Girl Scout troop have been mak-
ing rapid progress since the day
'of organization, April 3, 1944.
Fifteen out of 18 girls have
passed ;their tenderfoot rank
and aie now working on their
troop badge and second class.
During the summer the girls
attended the Day camp at Sweet-
water.
Every Monday night the girls
meet at the school house for
their regular meetings, but the
third Monday of every month
they go to Roby fopMSflffifc of
Honor. Last Monday, at Court of
Honor, the Scouts and their
leaders took part in the pro-
gram. They appeared in com-
plete uniform, and one leader
spoke on "The Work of the
Girl Scouts"
