roads obtained laud subsidies when
the land was plenty and their lauds
arc now valuable; besides they hud a
money loan. The northern states hav-
ing no public lauds huve liberally aid-
ed their roads by a money subsidy
and the twelfth legislature was prohib-
ited from grunting any other. Thu
records of that body show that nearly
every democrat in it vole I for this
company's charter. Where do you llud
