One of our poor citizens a German

A gentlemen of Dallas has In con-
templation the preparation and pub'
lleatlon of a history of Dallas county
from its first Settlement dowu to the
present date. In this work if publish
ed will appear the nonui of all the
early Bettlers of this county under the
Peters' colony grant as well as those
who settled on other heudrlfhts. Such
a work would be Invaluable to our peo
ple and a grateful memorial to the sor
rowing children of the early pioneers
who reclaimed this beautiful comity
from the wild savages.
DEMOCRAT! OF DALLAS COUNTY t
If you have not registered go and do
so at once. Unless precluded by mis
taken notions of duty you must realize
thut every vote will count in the com-
ing election so near at hand. Not
only a high sense ot patriotism but
worthy pride should Induce every citi-
zen of Dullus county to register and
vote. If all will do so it will be dem-
onstrated that Dallas Is the largest or
nt least oue of the three largest coun-
ties in the Stute in population as we
know it is In wealth.
The people of Southern Texus over-
run by hundreds of misguided negroes
led on by white mercenaries look to
our white counties of Northern Texas
to relieve them of oppression. Will
you will a single while Democrat of
Dallas county refuse to do his part to-
wards relieving our brethren of the
oldest and historical part of Texas
from the rule of negroes carpetbag-
gers and political swindlers? No fel-
low citizens do not commit this great
wrong. Register I vote I and let us all
be free.
George B. Erath the old pioneer
of McLennan county known afore-
time as the "Flying Dutchman of the
Frontier" is the Democratic candidate
for Senator from the Waco district
Tho Radicals gay the Democrat are
opposed to foreigners ; a He too palpable
to excite anything but contempt. At
this time the Democrats have the
following foreigners as candidates In
this State:'
J 3. Oroos Qerinan for Commis-
sioner of the Land Office.
Joseph Dwyer Irishman for Senator
from the San Antonio district.
George B. Erath German for Sena-
tor from the Waco district.
Edward P. Liun Irishman for Rep-
resentative from the Victoria district.
A German for Representative from
the Colorado district.
A. L. Kessler for Representative
from the Comal district
Erich Schmidt German for Repre-
sentative from the Houston district.
But the list Is too long. This Is
enough to show that wherever merit
exists Democrats select tkeir candi-
dates regardless of birth or nationality.
