Math Department Meets Changing Times
ADVANCEMENT IS THE keyword to characterize the mathe-
matics courses offered to all students, whether their plans are ' 5
to attend college or get a job immediately after graduating
from high school. .e
Under the leadership of Miss Laverne MacMillan, twelve =
teachers are included in the department.
The mathematics courses offered are Algebra I and II, Geom-
etry, Trigonometry, Elementary Analysis I and II, Consumer w
Mathematics. As a special attraction, Computer Mathematics
was added to the curriculum during the year. Exceptionally H- 1
high-rated students are placed in advanced mathematics
classes.
Mathematics teachers participate in the in-service training x,
program carried on throughout the year.
