Wise Planning, Able Administration
DR. CLYDE M. GOTT is chief administrator of one of the
largest districts in this area of the state. With the comple-
tion of the new Dick Dowling elementary school, there
will be 18 schools under his supervision. Approximately
825 professional personnel were employed by the Port
Arthur independent School District last year.
Notable gains have been made in teachers' salary an-d
sick leave benefits since Dr. Gott has been superintend-
ent.
He is a progressive, forward-looking school superintend-
