the People of Wills Point Say About
the Effect of Local Option.
State of Texas, County of Van Zandt;
We, the undersigned, citizens of the city of Wills
Point, in the county and state aroresaid, hereby answer
the following interrogatories relai .ve to the results of lo-
cal option in this city, and we b .^reby certify that the
answers made and given herein an true, and that each of
them was made by us, and endors id by us in person:
1 Int. What difference, if af v, is there in the value of
real estate in Wills Point now t ad before local option
went into effect? Has the value "icreased or decreased?
A. Tend ing upward. More rnd better residences now
being erected than at any time in Jie history of the town.
2 Int. What difference, if any, is there in the rental
value of real estate? Is it more or less?
A. No increase in the rental values, but the demand
for houses is greater than the supply.
3 Int. Are there any vacant ousiness

5 Int. Are there any places in the town where in-
toxicants are sold?
A. No.
6 Int. Are the laws regularly violated.
A. No.
7 Int. Does it prohibit?
A. It does.
8 Int. To what extent?
A. We have prohibition in f?;t in Will? Point and
the Sunday law in full force (fully observedj).
9 Int. What, if anything, is the difference in the
amount of drunkenness m the town now and before local
option went into effect?
A. 95 per cent, less drunkenness.
10 Int. Are the people at large satisfied with local
option?
A. Yes.
11 Int. Is there any dissatisfaction among any other
than the saloon men and their parasites?
A. No.

THE BRADFORD DRUG COMPANY.
Obstruction On Track.
Monday afternoon about
4 o'clock 2nd 17 freight
train, west bound, discover-
ed an obstruction on the T.&
P. track about a mile east
of Mineola which consisted
of 25 spikes and bolts and a
couple of old telegraph poles.'
The obstruction was in a
public place and at the end
of a curve. The_ officers
were promptly notified but*
have made no arrests. It is
thought the purpose of the
perpetrator was to cause the
wrecking of the west bound
cannonball train, which was
due'to arrive here at 4:-'12
p. m.
Whit Darden, who was
one of the participants in
the cutting altercation at
Grand Saline, last Friday
night, surrendered, plead
'guilty, to an assault and rt-
ceived fho usu™ fine.
