Every one who sells liquor to be used as a beverage, is a drunkard
maker, and the responsibility of making drunkards cannot be evaded by
him. No such person can say, "' It is no concern of mine if men be-
come drunkards." In a multitude of cases the seller is more to blame
than the drinker. There is no safety out of total abstinence. Ever y
drunkard that went to a drunkard's grave, began to drink moderately
It is decreed that no drunkard shall inherit the kingdom of God. No
it is very clear that whatever tends to make men drunkards tends to keep
men out of Heaven. How can' a man consistently take the cup of the
Lord, whose hand is polluted with the cup of the Devil ?

On motion, Elder J. M . Wright was appointed as Mission-
ary for the ensuing year.
Resolved, That whereas, it is the opinion of this Association that the
further sum of one hundred dollars should be paid the Missionary of the
past year, we recommend that the Delegates from the several churches
be requested to collect the above amount, and forward it to Brother
Wright, through the Missionary Board ; and that Elder G. W. Baines, H.
J. Chamberlin, Elder J. S. Holmes, Cyrus Eastland, Elders G. W.
Joiner, A. C. Graves and J. McLain shall constitute a Missionary Board,
which is requested to meet with some Church of the Association, every
fifth Sabbath during the associational year.

We, the Committee on Finance, beg leave to report as follows :

Adopted, and ordered the money to be paid over to the
Treasurer.
It was resolved that the next session of this Association
be held with the Noland's Valley Baptist Church, in Bell
county, to meet on Saturday before the third Sabbath in
September, A. D. 1872.
