Friday morning,after three almost sleepless nights of
suffering,I had an abcessed tooth extracted,and it was no
happy picnic occasion either. The resulting pain intertained
me to the exclusion of other attractions Friday
and Saturday, and even today it has by no means lost its
mastery over y feelings,tho it has scattered over all one
side of t face instead of. being concentrated inr the vicinity
of the tooth. The tooth-achp, or rather jaw-ache (the
place where the tooth was) was agravated,bd possibly augmentd,by
a cold I caght in the meaIime w hioh caused
mr head to.ache violently part of thetim. My jaw swebled
Saturday to.the full capacity of my skin,and I began to
g1Ye up the idea of preaching the next day; but I was lookihg
about normal,tho very weak,when preaching time came and
went ahead with the servwoes. I couldn't afford to give
up. services if I was able to wiggle for there were several
who were to join the church, sad it was c oammion day. Only
one of the fie who were expected to join us could be there.
But we had. a very impressive o mmunion service with a real
gobd attendance. I was feeling too weak to attempt night

wet weather question. The remainder of the snow has just
melted here and the ground is just as wet as it canbe now.
