day of December, 1907, she was
legally married to the defendant,
and continued to live with him
aa his wife until about Decem-
ber 22, 1916, at which time the
defendant abandoned - the plain-
tiff andJkey.have not lived to-
gether since.

time she aid the defendant -lived
together conducted herself with
propriety and managed the
household affairs of her said
husband with kindness and for-
bearance; but that the defen-
dant. disregarding his marriage
vows arid obligations, soori after
said • marriage commenced -a
course of unkind, harsh and ty-
ranical conduct toward her,
which continued until he left
her as above stated.
4. Plaintiff says that at the
time of her marriage with defen-
dant she was possessed of .con-
sidenable means and money as
her seperate property, and that
sobh^ft^tEe1-^marriage the de-
fendant forced her to give him
$2600 which he invested in the
urniture business, and that af-
terwards.he sold out said furn-
iture-business and, moved to
Crosby county, Texas, and in-
vested $2700 of the money de-
rived from the sale of said bus-
iness in land hereinafter des-
cribed, and in addition used
about -$3000 of plaintiff's sepe-
rate and individual money to
erect'a house on said land.
5. Plaintiff says the defendant
is a man of . violent and, ungov-
ernable temper and of., a , grasp-
ing disposition and that when
the plaintiff-would not give him
money out of her own private

in December, 1916.
