^*!*^HE onject oi the Journal in issuing this illustrated edition this week is to place before the people oi this State, and the
publio generally, at the Texas State Fair and Dallas Exposition, and the Taylor County Fair, the excellent facilities
of the Green & Hunter Brick Company for manufacturing fine pressed brick. This plant is the largest of the kind in
the South, its capaoity being over 75,000 brick per day. A large plant is now nearing completion for the manufacture of
vitrified brick for street paving. The quality of shale, the material used, has been proved to be the best yet discovered for
making this variety of briok, and the Company will soon be prepared to furnish them in any quantity.
