Vandalism was a topic of
great discussion at the school
board meeting Tuesday
evening.
Vandals struck again on the
school grounds Monday night.
Previously, hoodlums had
entered the confines of the
Ringgold Jr High, Ringgold
Intermediate and now the high
school Ruben Saenz, high
school principal made a report
to the school board.
On Monday night or Tuesday
morning some person, a small
child is suspected of having
entered the high school office
through a 9 by 10 inch pane,
made his way to the door and
open it for waiting ac-
complaces. More than one
person is thought to be involved.
Saenz reported that roughly
$700.00 dollars had been taken.
The money was separated from
the checks. Most of the money
belonged to the lunch program,
clubs, and annual staff. Picture
money was also taken
The Mossier safe was ham-
mered, chilsed into, banged
with the use of a crowbar. The
safe was kept in a small cell
which was once used for
solitary confinement by the
army when they were stationed
at Fort Ringgold. No incidents

meetings to be held twice a
month with the firm would be
limited to once a month. The
contract for the firm should be
in the mail and should be
received and revealed to the
school board by the next
meeting.
Busses were granted for the
transportation of students to a
circus to be held the first week
of February under the direction
and sponsorship of the Rio
Grande City Jay Cees.
Simon Garza, the president of
the organization, appeared
before the ltoard to prevail upon
the board members for per-
mission to use the school
grounds for the affair and in
addition to make provisions to
have the students of the
outlying schools bussed to the
circus. An early morning circus
performance is scheduled in
order to avoid any bussing
problems. The JC's were asked
not to arrange for a Tuesday or
Friday performance because
the busses were needed to
transport the basketball
players to the game. Such a
scheduling would create
problems for th^ administration
in the bussing area.
Garza further stated that
