ANNIVERSARY
Louis and Audrey Kariel:
60th wedding anniversary
Louis and Audrey Kariel of
Marshall, Texas, will celebrate
their 60th wedding anniversary
on April 23, 2010.
The happy couple, who mar-
ried at Temple Beth-El in Cor-
sicana on April 23, 1950, always
felt they were destined for one
another. Both of their parents
(the late Louis and Adele Kariel of
Marshall and the late George and
Madelyn Daniels of Corsicana)
were married on March 11, 1923.
Audrey and Louis met in Aus-
tin while attending the Univer-
sity of Texas. Louis was Audrey's
grader in her college math class.
They moved to Marshall after
the wedding and Louis went to
work for his family's business,
The Hub Shoe Store, where he
retired in 2001. Throughout the
years of their marriage, they have
both been involved in a myriad of
civic efforts to promote the city of
Marshall. They are members of
Temple Emanu-El in Longview.
