Protective Act Fund."
SEC. 2. Section 26 of House Bill No. 99, Acts of the Regular
Session Forty-fifth Legislature is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. Any person who comes within any of the classifications
set out in either House Bill No. 99, Acts Regular Session
Forty-fifth Legislature or House Bill No. 557, Acts Regular Session
Forty-fifth Legislature, wherein a surety bond of Five
Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars is required by him by that classification,
shall be permitted to give one Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars surety bond, so worded as to guarantee faithful performance
of all the provisions of both House Bill No. 99, Acts
Regular Session Forty-fifth Legislature and House Bill No. 557,
Acts Regular Session Forty-fifth Legislature, such bond to be
in such form as the Commissioner of Agriculture may prescribe,
and any person who elects to give one surety bond of Five Thousand
($5,000.00) Dollars to guarantee faithful performance
under both of said Acts shall be liable for only one license fee
of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars, and his license shall reflect the
fact that he is licensed thereby to handle both citrus fruits and
vegetables.
SEC. 4. The fact that House Bills Nos. 99 and 557, Acts of
the Forty-fifth Legislature, Regular Session will go into effect
ninety days after adjournment of the Regular Session of the
Forty-fifth Legislature, and that this bill makes certain corrective
amendments to said bills creates an emergency and an
imperative public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring
bills to be read on three several days in each House be suspended,
and it is hereby suspended, and that this Act shall take
effect and be in force concurrently with House Bills
Nos. 99
and 557, Acts of the Regular Session Forty-fifth Legislature,
and it is so enacted.
[NOTE.-S. B. No. 24 passed the Senate, June 23, 1937, by
a vote of 21 yeas, 3 nays; passed the House, June 23, 1937, by
a vote of 106 yeas, 1 nay.]
