January 19, 1939
Dr. Reynolds May of Whitewright, Texas died on January 2, 1939.
He was born May 31, 1851. Dr. May is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter, Lester
R. May of Houston; Dr. Ross R. May of Whitewright; Rev. H. Grady May of Wichita Falls; Dr.
E.O. May of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Albert R. Jackson of Whitewright. Also surviving
are two brothers and one sister: Bob May of Plainview, Wm. May of Fort Worth, and Bettie May
Chanslor of Myra.
Paul Smith, infant son of Rev. and Mrs. Paxton Smith, died December 28, 1938, in
Grandview, Texas. Paul is survived by his parents and twin brothers.
Rev. C.H. Adams died January 7, 1939, in Houston, Texas. Rev. R.W. Adams and
Rev. J. F. Adams are brothers of the deceased.

Miss Naomi Gayer, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Gayer, died on December 9,
1938, in Custer City, Oklahoma.
Mrs. J. D. Edwards, widow of the late Rev. J.D. Edwards, died on January 17, 1939, in
Wagoner, Oklahoma, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.A. Olens. She was born in 1866. Mrs.
Edwards is survived by six children, several grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two
brothers.
Mr. E. P. Kilgore, son-in-law of the late Rev. M.L. Butler, died on January 19, 1939, in
Oklahoma City. He was 53 years old.
Mr. Russell, father of Rev. C. H. Russell, died in Childress in later January, 1939.
February 2, 1939
Mr. J.W. Rosenburg died at the age of 56, on January 12, 1939, in Lovington, New Mexico. He
is survived by his wife, one son, Rev. J. Wallace Rosenburg of Trinidad, Colorado; his mother,
Mrs. W. Rosenburg of Roswell; a grandson and two brothers, Tom Rosenburg of Roswell, and
Roy Rosenburg of Sweetwater, Texas.
Henry D. Mouzon, age 61, died on January 21, 1939, in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death
by his brother Bishop E. D. Mouzon. He is survived by a wife, a son, H. D. Mouzon, Jr. of Fort
Worth,and a daughter Mrs. George Cox of Sherman.
Mrs. M. H. Dodson of Mangum, Oklahoma, died on January 21, 1939, at the age of 63.
Mrs. W. B. Andrews, wife of Dr. W.B. Andrews, died January 13, 1939. She is survived by her
husband; two sons, Roy of Kerrville and Edwin of Ft. Worth; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret
