POLK, Ken passed away November 1,
1998 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Dallas, Texas on September 3, 1953
he began developing his comedy career in
Houston at The Comedy Workshop. He
moved to Los Angeles in 1992, became a
regular at The Comedy Store, worked with
The Groundlings, and made appearances
on "Third Rock From the Sun," "Suddenly
Susan," "Ellen," and "The Carol Burnett
Special." He also co-starred in "The Monkey
Boys," a segment on a Saturday morning
children's show.
Preceded in death by father, Jesse Polk,
and survived by mother, Patsy and other
loving relatives and many devoted and
beloved friends who will miss his warm,
generous spirit, and his unique God-given
ability to make us laugh.
A Memorial Service will be held at First
Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, 1760 N.
Gower St. on Sunday, November 22 at 2pm.
Reception to follow.

SCOTTINO, Catherine (Kitty) Marie
(LoCascio), passed away July 28, 1998.
Kitty was born in Dallas, Texas on
November 20, 1914 to Attilio and Teresa
LoCascio. Kitty was predeceased by her
beloved husband, Paschal of 55 years. Her
immediate family, daughters, Josephine
(James) Mahoney and Sr. Teresa Scottino
CSJ; grandchildren, Scott and Elizabeth
Mahoney; great grandchild, Brisa Mahoney;
Catherine's brothers, Angelo and Charles
LoCascio, (both deceased), Carl (Angelina)
LoCascio; and sister, Mary (Joseph) Pesce,
wife of the deceased brother, Frank
Scottino, Jane, and their children, John
(deceased), JoAnn and Frank. Kitty
graduated in 1932 from Bishop Conaty
Catholic Girls High School. As a resident of
Los Angeles, she devoted herself to her
family and a number of organizations,
including the Italian Women's Club,
Garibaldina and Orphans of Italy (past
president and continuing board member)
and Villa Scalabrini.Visitation 4pm-7pm. Viewing will take place
at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Mortuary, 4220
Sepulveda Boulevard, Culver City. A
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 am,
Saturday, August 1, 1998 at Holy Cross
Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson, Culver City. A
Memorial Reception will be held immediately
following the entombment at the
Garibaldina, 4533 N. Figueroa, Los Angeles,
California.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers
memorial contributions be made to The
Sisters of St. Joseph, and sent to the
Carondelet Center, Development Office,
11999 Chalon Rd., LA, CA. 90049 or the
Villa Scalabrini, 10631 Vinedale St., Sun
Valley, CA. 91352
