The black clouds from the north
cast that rose up about five o'clock
Monday evening brought heavy wind
as well as rain, and caused consider
able damage to certain buildings.
The residence of Robert Deans in
the north-east part of town was
struck by the force of the storm and
utterly demolished. The bouse was
picked up bodily and raised about
ñfteen leet in the air when it was
hurled to the giound and totally
crushed, the walls being thrown in
all directions some a distance of one
hundred feet. The family was in
tha cellar at the time and no one
was injured. The furniture and
other things were badly torn up and
seriously damaged. Mr. Deans went
bravely to work Tuesday morning
rebuilding his home, and all things
are again as usual on the hill. The
damage was about $100.
The residence of W. B. Crabtrce,1
a short distance north of town was
also badly shattered and torn up
the roof being taken off by the wind.
and the walls crushed in. The fur
niture was broken and damaged, his
dishes cracked and broken and ñour
and provisions wet and damaged by
the rain. No one ot the family was
hurt, which seems almost a miracle
since they were all in the house at
the time. The damage to him was pians< Klevation, :U1(1 Specification*

to set forth the advantage? of its
country is the very best agent that
can be sent abroad, it approaches
the kind of a man wanted here in a
silent manner, and finds him un-
suspicious of any design upon the
opinions of the country. It works
on him quietly and assiduously until
he finds himself desiring to see the
