the district court sinoe our last

State vs. Edgar Barton, mur-
der; continued upon application
of defendant.
State vs. Charlie Langford,
murder; same order as above.
State vs. Robert George (col-

plication of defendant.
State vs. Early Johnson, (col-
ored) rape: same order as above
This concludes the criminal
dooket and the jury for the week
was discharged. Civil suits will
now be taken up, and judging
from the manner in which Judge
Patterson has disposed of buai

be very few cases left on the
docket when oourt adjourns for
the term.
When the tip of a dog's nose is
cold and moist, that dog is not sick.
A feverish dry nose means sickness
with a dog. And so with the hu-
man lips. Dry, cracked and color-
less lips means feverishness, and
are as well ill appearing. To
have beautiful, pink, velvet-like
lips, apply at bedtime a coating
of Dr. Shoop's Green Salve. It
will soften and heal any skin ail-
ment. Get a free, trial box, at
our store, and be convinced. Large
nickel' capped glass jars, 25 cents.

Funeral of Landon McFall.
The funeral of Landon McFall
who died Saturday night 00-
ourred this morning. At the
First Methodist church, of which
the deceased was a member, Dr.
H. D. Knickerbookr of Dallas
preaohed a very eloquent funeral
sermon in the course of which he
paid some very sincere and beau-
tiful tributes to the memory of
the departed young mar#. Dr.
Knickerbocker was assisted in
the service by Rev. Geo. M. Oak-'
ley of this city.
The deceased was a Knight of!
Pythias and a very large repre- J
sentador of that fraternity metí
the cortege in a body as it came
from the home and conduoted it
to the ohuroh and from thence to |
the cemetery where the funeral ¡
rites of the order were very;
fittingly observed.
Those who performed the sad
service of bearing the body on
its journey to its last resting
place were Messrs Jno.B. Yauger
and D. C. Patterson, friends of
the deceased from Oklahoma City,
and Leo Hartnett, Earnest Boone,
Nathan MoCleskey and Bartlett
Cannon, all boyhood friends of
this city.
The gathering of friends who
were in attendance at the servioes
was extremely large, and the
procession that followed to the
graveside was of great length.
The tokens of love in the way ot
flowers were many and beautiful,
and the messages of sympathy
to the fatmily have been innumer-
able.
The family desire their host9 of
friends to know that the many
gentle kindnesses and ministra-
tions shown them in their bereav-
ment are deeply appreciated and
will be tenderly remembered.
A Young Mother at 70.

completely cured her and restored
the strenghth and activity she had
in the prime of life," writes Mrs.
W. L. Gilpatrick, of Danforth,

the death of her sister, Mrs. Wm. j
O'Neil Perkins, at her home in;
Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Per-
kins was quite well known in
^his city, where she has visited
and made many friends, all of

game is to be played at Athletio

and promises to be lively through-
out, as the new football raise will
be striotly observed whioh neces-
