  • Content Description: Transcription of letter from Chester Nimitz to his father in Kerrville. Nimitz informs his father that he now has a life insurance policy and will be sending it home. He also reflects on the prospects of being commissioned an ensign upon graduating from the Academy. Nimitz also confesses to being restless and ready to move on from the Academy and get into the service. He also mentions going to Philadelphia for the Army-Navy football game.
