FISH LAW IN HARRISON COUNTY.
H. B. No. 87.] CHAPTER 22.
An Act to provide and regulate size of certain fish caught in Harrison
County, Texas, providing a penalty; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. Whoever shall take or catch from the fresh
waters of Harrison County, Texas, or have in his possesion any
crappie under the length of eight inches, or any bass under the
length of eleven inches, shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor
more than $100.00.
SEC. la. Whoever shall have in his possession more than
fifteen (15) bass, or more than twenty-five (25) white perch or
crappie shall be fined not less than Ten ($10.00) Dollars, nor
more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars, and each fish in
excess of these numbers shall constitute a separate offense.
SEC. 2. The fact that the Game Law relative to crappie and
bass fish in Harrison County, Texas, is insufficient creates an
emergency and an imperative public necessity that the Constitutional
Rule requiring Bills to be read on three several days be
suspended and said Rule is hereby suspended, and that this Act
shall take effect and be in force from and after the first day of
January, A. D., 1931, and it is so enacted.
