Printed on the reverse: "22 Jan. 1947, His Eminence, Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York, presents the 1946 Club of Champion Award of the Catholic youth Organization of the Archdiocese of New York to fleet admiral Chester W. Nimitz, Chief of Naval Operations at the annual dinner meeting of the Catholic Youth Organization board of directors in the university Club on Tuesday Evening, January 21. The presentation program will be broadcast on WMCA from 11:30 p.m. to 12 midnight. Cardinal Spellman, honorary chairman of the Catholic Youth Organization is a former recipient of the award initiated by the Catholic Youth Organization board in 1936. It is given annually to the person who, in the opinion of the Board, has made an outstanding contribution to youth during the year. The election of officers and now members will take place at a business meeting which will precede the dinner. Former recipients of the award include Jospeh P. grace, 1936; the late [illegible] O. Anderson, 1936; William Edwin Hall, 1937; Harold J. Brown, 1937; the late Paul T. Kammerer, 1938; John S. Burko, 1939; John J. Falahee, 1940; Albert Hinen, 1941; the late Charles Hayden, 1942; Very Rev. Monsignor Edward Roberts Moore, 1943; Cardinal Spellman, 1944; and J. Edgar Hoover, 1945.
