communities, met for the 1st
organizational meeting W ednesday,
Nov. 2, in Castroville. The new
system will comprise Medina
County’s commissioner Precinct 2.
Working with the group during this
organizational period is 'Medina
County Atty. Hunter Schuehle.

gency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
manning the ambulances, basically
as in the past, whereby they
receive a small reimbursement for
each call they make. However, in the
future, the person (EMT) who is on
standby for a weekend will be paid
69 per day, whether or not he or she
makes an ambulance run.
Due to the fact that the present
ambulance is too small, it. is the
group's aim to purchase a new,
larger ambulance within 6 months,
notes Leon Tschirhart.
The City of Castroville has a 62500
investment in the present system,
and has agreed to leave that money
in the new system providing it is
