CREATING SCTIIWERTNER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY.
H. B. No. 330.] CHAPTER 24.
An Act creating the Schwertner Independent School District in the County
of'Williamson, State of Texas; defining its boundaries, providing for a
board of trustees to control and manage the schools of the said district,
divesting Common School District No. 48, of Williamson County,
Texas, of the control of the free schools of the said district, and of the
title, management and control of all property held, owned and controlled
for public free school purposes therein, and vesting the same in the said
Schwertner Independent School District, and in the board of trustees
thereof; providing for the assessing and collecting of taxes; providing
for the issuing of bonds; providing for the election of officers for the
said school district; providing for the election of an assessor and collector,
for said school district; providing for the erection of building
and equipping same for school purposes; and assuming the payment of
the outstanding bonded indebtedness of Common School District No. 48,
of Williamson County, Texas, and creating an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Schweirtner Independent School District,
is hereby established and created, in Williamson County, Texas,
including within its limits the following described territory, to-wit:
Beginning at a point, on the west line of the John Talk Survey
where the same is intersected by the Williamson and Bell County
Line; thence S. 19 E. 927 varas to the S. W. corner of the said
John Talk Survey, in a public road, same being also the E. E. corIer
of the Isaac M. Lambert Survey; thence S. 71 W. 688-2/5
varas; with the said road to the N. W. ,corner of a tract of 160 acres
cf land owned by J. S. White, on the' Wm. Adams, Survey; thence
S. 19 E. 500 varas to the S. E. corner of a tract of land owned by
Tom Denson; thence S. 71 W. with'the north line, of C. J. Jackson's
land on the Wm. Adams, Survey, to the N. W. corner'of the said
Jackson's land; thence S. 19 E. following the W. line of the said
Jackson tract to the north lin,. of Martinka's tract of land, and continuing
S. 19 E. across Martinka's tract of land, to the turn in the
public road; thence S. 19 E. with said public road at 41 varas pass
Iampek's corner north at 1302, Stikols S. W. corner in road leading
to Schwertner at 2196 varas to a cornIr on north line of the
John W. Wilbarger Survey; thence N.71 E. 557 varas to the N. E.
corner of said Wilbarger Survey on the west line of the W. A.
Jenkins Survey; thence S. 19 E. to the S. W. corner of the said
W. A. Jenkins Survey; thence N. 71 E. 1832 varas to the S. E.
corner of the said W. A. Jenkins Survey; thence S. 70 E. with the
south line of the Edward Ryan Survey to S. E. corner of the Willis
Donahoe Jr. Survey; thence S. 70 E. to the S. W. corner of the
Basil Durbin Survey and continuing S. 70 E. with the south line
of the said Durbin Survey to thi, S. E. corner of Laughlins tract
of land; thence N. 19 E. 2523 6/10 varas to the N. E. corner of the
said Laughlin tract of land; thence northerly to the N. E. corner of
R. H. Bartletts tract of land on the Moses Allen Survey; thence
