FALLS COUNTY AUTHORIZED TO CONSTRUCT PERMANENT
ROADS, ETC.
II. B No 1 51 CHAPTER 21.
An Act to repeal Chapter 118, of the 'Special and Local Laws of the
Regular Session of the Thirty-third Legislature, as amended by Chapter
45 of the Special and Local Laws of the Second Called Session of
the Thirty-sixth Legislature, authorizing and empowering Falls County
or a political subdivision thereof, to vote bonds for the purpose of constructing
permanent roads; providing that nothing in this Act shall affect
pending litigation under said law; authorizing Falls County, Texas,
or any political subdivision, or defined district thereof, to issue road
bonds under the provisions of the General Law; validating bond elections
heretofore held in certain defined road districts within said
county; and declaring an emergency.
Be it elac(ted by the Legislaturei of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That all special road laws heretofore enacted by the
Legislature applying to Falls County, Texas, and especially Chapt
r 118 of the Special and Local Laws of the Regular S'ession of the
Thirty-third Leoislature, as amended by Chapter 45 of the Special
and Local Laws of the Second Called Session of the Thirty-sixth
Legislature. are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2 That nothing' in this Act shall affect pending litigation
under said law.
SEC. 3. That Articles 627. 628, 629, 630, 631, 632, 633, 634, 635,
636, 637. 638, 639, 640, and 641 of the General Laws of the State of
Texas, Chapter 2, Title 18, Revised Civil Statutes, 1911, and all
amendments and additions thereto, now in force or which may be
hereafter enacted, relating to the issuance of bonds by counties,
political subdivisions and defined districts thereof are hereby
adopted, it being the intent hereof that Falls County, Texas, and
all political subdivisions or defined districts thereof shall be authorized
to issue bonds for the purpose of constructing, maintaining
and operating macadamized, graveled or paved roads and turnpikes,
or in aid thereof, and levy taxes to provide interest on and
sinking fund for such bonds as authorized by the general law.
And provided that all orders of the commissioners' court of Falls
County creating and establishing Road Districts Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in
said county, in accordance with the general road lawxi, of the State
of Texas, are hereby in all thinoss validated.
And provided that the election held in Road District No. 3, on
the 26th day of April, 1922, authorizing the issuance of road bends
in said district in the sum of one hundred thousand dollars for the
purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating macadamized,
graveled or paved roads and turnpikes or in aid thereof, is
hereby validated and all subsequent orders passed and tax levies
made by the commissioners' court of said county in respect to the
issuance and sale of such bonds, are hereby validated.
And provided that an el :,tion held in Road District No. 4 on
the 11th day of July, 1922, authorizing the issuance of bonds in
