CREATING BOYCE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IN
ELLIS COUNTY.
S. B. No. 165 ] CHAPTER 16.
An Act creating the Boyce Independent School District in Ellis County,
Texas: defining its boundaries; providing for a board of trustees in
said district; conferring upon said district and its board of trustees
all the rights, poN ers, privileges, duties and liabilities now conferred
and imposed by the General Laws of Texas upon independent school
districts and the board of trustees thereof; declaring that all taxes or
bonds heretofore authorized by any former school district included
within the bounds thereof shall remain in full force and effect, and
declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Boyce Independent School District is hereby
created and established in Ellis County, Texas, containing within
its limits the following described territory, towit:
Beginning at the N. E. corner of the F. AM. Woodard Survey;
thence west, with the N. line of said survey, 691 vrs. to the S. E.
corner (of the S. E. corner) of the J. W. Fleming Survey; thence
north, passing the N. E. corner of said Fleming Survey, in all 2089
vrs. to the N. E corner of the L. B. Outlaw Survey; thence west.
1152 vrs. to the N. W. corner of said Outlaw Survey, a stake on the
E. line of the G. R. Wheelock Survey; thence S. 20 E. about 220
-vrs. to the S. E corner of said Wheelock Survey. same being also an
ell corner of said Outlaw Survey; thence west, about 265 vrs. to
another N . . corner of said Outlaw Survey; thence south, with the
west line of said Outlaw Survey, 1408 vrs. to the center of the channel
of Grove Creek: thence up said creek, with the center of the
channel thereof, to the W. line of the S. J. Wilson 2131/. acre tract;
thence south, about 128 vrs. to the S. NW. corner of said Wilson tract,
a stake on the N. line of said Woodard Survey; thence west, passing
the N. WA. corner of said Woodard Survey, in all about 1573 vrs.
to the E. line of the P. A. Chapman 126 73/100 acre tract; thence
north, 751 vrs. to the N. E. corner of said Chapman tract; thence
with the lines of said Chapman tract as follows: N. 44 W. 90 vrs.
N. 86 W. 90 vrs. S. 35 W. 150 vrs., S. 2 W. 100 vrs., S. 10 E. 60
vrs. S. 76 W. 160 vrs. to center of Grove Creek, up creek N. 57
W. 300 vrs., S. 43 W. 93 vrs., S. 15 W. 430 vrs., and south, 250
vrs. to the S. W. corner of said Chapman tract, same being the S. E.
corner of the Thos. Jackson Survey; thence east with the S. line
of said Chapman tract, about 645 vrs. to the N. W. corner of the
C. A. Sharp 81 acre tract: thence south 916 vrs. to the S. W. corner
