CREATING THE TIMPSON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN SHELBY COUNTY.
H. B. No. 262.] CHAPTER 27.
An Act to create the Timpson Independent School District in Shelby
County, Texas; to provide for the election of trustees, for the raising
of revenue, issuing bonds, maintaining public free schools, declaring
valid an issue of bonds heretofore made, declaring valid a maintenance
tax heretofore levied, providing for extension of boundaries, and dedaring
an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That an independent school district is hereby
created and established in Shelby County, Texas, to be known as
Timpson Independent School District, which said district comprises
the same territory as the independent school district now
known as Timpson Independent School District in said Shelby
County, Texas, heretofore incorporated for school purposes only;
the metes and bounds of this said Timpson Independent SchooI
District are as follows:
Beginning 1150 vrs. S. 48 W. from Rebecca Hall's S. E. corner,
a stake on the Timpson and Henderson road red oak marked
T.S.D., red oak marked TX.
Thence S. 15 E. at 1871 vrs. Todd Creek at 4093 vrs. the H.
E. 4 small pines, red oak and post oak all marked X.
Thence E. with the N. boundary line of the following original
surveys; Wm. Hughes, Mary Nail, J. P. Wood, J. T. Echols,
