LIFE PARTNERS SHOULD PUT
GoD FIRST IN ALL THINGS
Advice: " If both partners put God First, the marriage wil I go
in the same direction."
This advice came from an elderly person who had made one of
the biggest mistakes of her life: that was being selfish in her
marriage. From her I also learned, " If you put God ahead of
everything you do, you'll always o in the right direction at
all times."
I can rightly say that in most marriages this statement is
not alw? true, but it should be. In marriage a conflict of
wills r,.i arise. Both the husband and wife sould be able to
talk it out rather than to fight it out. Every married couple
should always go in the same direction in making all major de-
cisions and ask God to lead them into the right decision.
This person also told me that attitude in marriage makes a
marriage. " If you let God be that attitude in your marriage,
you and your partner will always go in the same direction," she
said. For her, the advice had come too late!43
