Translation: Sir, we thank you for your letter from the 19th, and we have the chance to send you our documents so that you may return them with more information. We're happy to receive the letter from our school that the two daughters of Mr. Kempner, who found a familial ambiance, healthy and abundant food, a location incomparable in the Alpes, and a good climate, that adds to their health and development. They have the possibility, during the three months they will spend here, to familiarize themselves with the French language and participate in summer sports - tennis, swimming. We also often organize mountain expeditions and other interesting excursions. Our conditions are as follows: 15 francs per day per child which covers their lodging, boarding school fees, and French classes, with lessons being each morning from 8:30 AM to 10 AM, and will be held outside. Not included in that are the personal expenses: tourist tax (.25 francs per day), guaranteed doctors visits (10 francs), laundry (30 francs per month), pocket money, trips (200 francs for the entire season), general travel, personal spending money, the 5% service fee for boarding, tennis lessons (6 francs per lesson), quitting a sport (tennis and swimming, 66 francs for the season). The outfits required for students must include towels, kitchen linens, hiking shoes, an outfit that includes a suit jacket and tie, and a white outfit for tennis. The clothing should also be marked with the name of the student. We are including the registration bulletin where you will see the total number of requests and the number of our limited spots, and we ask that you return to us the completed form by the month of May. For our references, you will give this information to the addresses of Mr. Captain A. White, Palazzo Grande, Pzza Grande, Livorno, Italy, and of M. A. Menz-Kaufmann, Kesslerstr, 10, Zollikon (Zurich). We stay at your disposal for all other information required, await your response, thank you in advance, and offer you, sir, our most impressed greetings.
